THESE RULES GOVERN THE COMMUNITY SAVINGS DREAM PRIZE DRAW CONTEST. THEY EXEMPT COMMUNITY SAVINGS CREDIT UNION, AND OTHER PERSONS FROM LIABILITY AND CONTAIN IMPORTANT PROVISIONS. BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREED TO BE BOUND BY THESE RULES. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH EACH PROVISION OF THESE RULES, YOU MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE COMMUNITY SAVINGS DREAM PRIZE DRAW CONTEST.

The Contest Period and Prize
•    The Community Savings Dream Prize Draw Contest (the “Contest”) is run by Community Savings Credit Union (“CSCU”).
•    The Contest will run from 10:00 am PST on Tuesday, January 21st, 2020 to 11:59 pm PST on Tuesday, March 31st, 2020 (the "Contest Period"). All entries must be received by CSCU within this period in order to be eligible.
•    There are 8 prizes available to be won (the “Prizes”). The Prizes will be awarded pursuant to the time frames provided in these Rules under the How to Win and Claim Your Prize section.
How to Enter
* No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest. To enter the Contest, you must meet the eligibility requirements and do one of the following during the Contest Period:
Branch Entry:
The $1500.00 Sleep Country Gift Certificate prize portion of the Contest is open to all residents of British Columbia, Canada over the age of majority (19) who have contributed at least $500 to a RRSP, RRIF, or TFSA account offered by CSCU during the Contest period.
* Eligible RRSP, RRIF, or TFSA contributors will earn one automatic entry into the $1500.00 Sleep Country Gift Certificate prize portion of the Contest for completing the step above during the Contest Period.
    •    Limit of one entry per person. Multiple entries belonging to the same person will be automatically disqualified from the Contest.
* The Melissa & Doug Giant Sheep portion of the contest can only be entered through entry forms that are available and submitted at CSCU branches.
 No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest. To enter the Contest, you must meet the eligibility requirements and do one of the following during the Contest Period:

Eligibility
* The Contest is open to legal residents of British Columbia who have reached the age of 19 by the start of the Contest Period. In order to contribute to a CSCU RRSP, RRIF, or TFSA, you must be or become a CSCU member.
* Employees of CSCU and its affiliates, and their immediate family members (defined as spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses) and household members are not eligible to enter the Contest.
How to Win and Claim Your Prize
* One potential winner will be selected through a random draw administered by CSCU on Friday, April 3, 2020.
* The odds of winning the Prize depend on the number of valid entries received.
* The potential winner will be notified by phone on Monday, April 6, 2020. CSCU will attempt to contact the potential winner using the contact information available in CSCU’s systems or the mailed Essay. Entrants are solely responsible for ensuring that their contact information is correct and up-to-date.
* If CSCU is unable for any reason to contact the potential winner or the potential winner does not respond to CSCU within 48 hours of being contacted, CSCU reserves the right to disqualify the potential winner and another entrant may be selected by CSCU by random draw in accordance with these Rules.
    •    The potential winner must claim the Prize within one week of being contacted or within an acceptable time limit at the sole discretion of CSCU.   
•    No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest.
    •    Any decisions made by CSCU, including but not limited to those concerning the eligibility or disqualification of entrants, are final and binding without right of appeal.

Alternative Entry:

Participants may enter the Contest without participating in the above methods of contest entries by mailing an original, legible, handwritten essay of 100 words or more (“Essay”) to CSCU on “How to dream big” Essays must include the entrant’s name, address, city, postal code, day and evening telephone numbers and be mailed in a postage stamped envelope to Community Savings, Suite 1600 – 13450 102nd Avenue, Surrey, B.C., V3T 5X3. Attn: Anniversary prize draw. A maximum of one entrant per Essay is allowed. To be eligible, your Essay must be postmarked by the last day of the Contest Period.
    •    Participants will earn entries into the Contest for completing one of the steps above during the Contest Period.
    •    No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest.
    •    Every entry is subject to verification by CSCU. Any entry that appears to CSCU, in its sole discretion, to be incomplete, ineligible, improper, or fraudulent may be disqualified, including but not limited to entries that are made contrary to these Rules, entries that are disruptive to the proper operation of the Contest, or entries that are in any way unjust to other entrants or potential entrants.
    •    Any decisions made by CSCU, including but not limited to those concerning the eligibility or disqualification of entrants, are final and binding without right of appeal.

•    CSCU reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify, suspend or terminate this Contest or to amend the Rules, without notice and without compensation to any participant in the Contest.
Eligibility
•    The Contest is open to CSCU members, who are legal residents of British Columbia who have reached the age of 19 by the start of the Contest Period.

•    Employees of CSCU and its affiliates, and their immediate family members (defined as spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses) and household members are not eligible to enter the Contest.
How to Win and Claim Your Prize
•    Winners will be selected through a random draw administered by CSCU starting Tuesday, May 28, 2019. 

•    The odds of winning the Prize depend on the number of valid entries received. One sheep will be drawn per branch from the entries received at the branch.

•    The potential winners will be notified by phone. CSCU will attempt to contact the potential winners using the contact information available in CSCU’s systems or the mailed Essay. Entrants are solely responsible for ensuring that their contact information is correct and up-to-date. 

•    If CSCU is unable for any reason to contact the potential winners or the potential winner does not respond to CSCU within 48 hours of being contacted, CSCU reserves the right to disqualify the potential winner and another entrant may be selected by CSCU by random draw in accordance with these Rules.

•     The potential winners must claim the Prize within one week of being contacted or within an acceptable time limit at the sole discretion of CSCU.
The potential winner must do the following in order to claim the Prize:
 Go to any CSCU branch or, at CSCU’s sole discretion, an alternate location.
Provide valid proof of identity, age, and residence, or any relevant documentation requested by CSCU; and
 Complete a Declaration and Release Form, which includes correctly answering, without assistance, a time-limited mathematical skill testing question.
•    In the event that the potential winner is disqualified or is otherwise determined to be ineligible, CSCU may, in its sole discretion, hold another random draw to determine an alternate potential winner.
•    The Prize must be accepted as described in these Rules and cannot be returned, transferred to another individual, or substituted for another prize. CSCU reserves the right, in its sole discretion and for any reason whatsoever, to substitute any prize or part thereof, with another prize of equivalent or greater value.
Release and Exclusion of Liability
 By entering the Contest, you agree to release and hold harmless CSCU and its affiliates, and their respective agents, employees, directors, officers, successors and assigns against any and all claims that are in any way associated with the Contest, including but not limited to claims for:
 erroneous, lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries, regardless of the cause;
 failure for any reason whatsoever of a selected entrant to receive notice of a Prize;
 typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the Contest, including but not limited to errors in advertising, these Rules, the selection and announcement of the Prize winner or distribution of the Prize;
 any injury or damage to any person’s computer or data contained therein or other property as a result of any person’s participation in the Contest;
 defects or delays in the Prize awarded that are outside of CSCU’s control;
 the use of your voice, statements, place of residence and likeness, including as a result of distortion, blurring, processing or reproduction;
 any malfunction, failure relating to telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software, failed or misdirected computer or telephone transmissions, or other errors of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic; or
 any damage or loss, including any loss of use, loss of production, loss of profits (anticipated or otherwise), loss of markets, economic loss, special, indirect, or consequential loss or damage or aggravated or punitive damages, whether in contract, tort, or under any other theory of law or equity, arising from, connected with, or relating to the Contest or the submission of entries to the Contest, or participation in the Contest, or the Prize, or any charitable donations made by CSCU related to the Contest, regardless of the cause or any negligence by any of the employees, agents or representatives of CSCU or the Facilitator.
Personal Information
•    You authorize CSCU to collect and use your personal information to administer the Contest. By entering the Contest, you authorize CSCU to broadcast, publish, and otherwise use your name, voice, image (video and photographic), statements regarding the Contest, and place of residence for publicity and promotional purposes, without any form of notice or remuneration.
•    All personal information collected for this Contest that is in the possession of CSCU will be destroyed in accordance with the CSCU Savings Privacy Policy.
Dispute Resolution
 All disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Contest, prizes or these Rules will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court of the Province of British Columbia, Canada.
General Terms and Conditions
•    CSCU reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify, suspend or terminate this Contest or to amend the Rules, without notice and without compensation to any participant in the Contest.
•    Generally prizes and gifts are non-taxable, however you acknowledge and accept any responsibility of tax liability.
•    The Contest and the Rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with all applicable municipal and provincial laws in British Columbia and federal laws in Canada.
