Full-Time Information Technology Support Specialist (12 months contract)

Community Savings is looking for an IT Support Specialist to provide level one support to a team of 75 users. The role includes typical support tasks such as installation and maintenance of end user workstations and servers, hardware and software support and maintenance of system software and programs.

We are looking for someone who is at the top of their game and has a passion to learn. Of course you’ll be intimately familiar with Windows and Office 365. You’ll have a knowledge of a variety software including the usuals, plus remote desktop applications, virtualization technology (Hyper-V and VMware), SAN environments and knowledge of software installation processes and automation... but that is just the technical part.

What we are REALLY looking for is someone who is a team player and can build courteous, friendly and professional relations with co-workers and internal/external stakeholders alike. The ability to schedule, organize and prioritize work assignments, work under pressure and meet deadlines and adapt to change is a must have.

Salary: 57,840.00 - $71,772.00 /year

Compensation: Base salary + Extended health benefits + other financial perks such as a free account, reduced rates.

Job Type: Full-time 12 month contract

Location: Surrey, BC

Basic Role Qualifications:

  • High school graduation plus completion of 2 year BCIT Diploma Program in Information Systems, including basic programming and systems analysis skills; 
  • Microsoft certification (MCSE, MCSA, MCITP);
  • a minimum of 24 months experience in an information technology environment; demonstrated abilities in interpersonal relations, team work and technical problem solving
  • OR An equivalent combination of education and experience
