Celebrate culture and tradition at one of the largest parades in Canada! The Vaisakhi celebration brings over 100,000 people together to enjoy music, gifts, food, and dancing. Stop by the Community Savings tent for a healthy snack.

Quadra Village Day May 11, 2019 
Quadra Village Day is a fun, free, family-friendly, all-ages event organized by a volunteer committee. Typically, more than 4,000 people from across the region participate in a broad range of activities which include breakfast, games and over four hours of entertainment on the stages.

Hyack Festival May 25, 2019
Hyack’s mission in 2017 is to tell the story of New Westminster in a way that integrates and celebrates the history and culture of the first peoples of the land. Watch the Hyack International Parade on May 27th from 11am to 2pm and then stay for the Uptown Street Fest on Belmont Street to continue the celebrations!

Hats Off Day June 1, 2019
Burnaby’s biggest festival is on June 3rd! Hats Off Day is a chance for local merchants to thank the public for their support by hosting a huge party. Hastings Street will be closed at 9 am for a parade, show & shine, live music, free food, a kids’ zone and much more. Join us as we host prizes and activities!

Halloween On The Heights TBA
We invite you and your family to dress up and trick or treat with our merchants for Halloween on the Heights on October 31. From 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., take your children to visit participating neighbourhood merchants along Hastings Street to receive some yummy treats.

Light Up The Heights TBA
The Heights Merchants Association hosts a sidewalk festival, with carolers, the Man in the Red Suit and his helpers, all while Heights merchants offer holiday specials all day long. Last year, despite the rain, the magic of the twinkling tree lights with Santa and his elves, still managed to enchant everyone.
